How much does a car history check cost?
A Full History Report costs £15 for one car. If you’re checking more than one car, you can buy 3 reports for £35, which works out at £11.67 per report.
How does the 3-report bundle work?
You pay £35 once and get the report for the first car straight away. We also email you two report codes, so you can check two more cars whenever you’re ready. The codes are valid for a year and you use them on our redeem page.
Is there a subscription or any hidden fee?
No. You pay once for the reports you choose. There’s no subscription, no account to set up and nothing to cancel.
What does the report include?
Every report checks for outstanding finance, a stolen record and write-offs, and includes the mileage history with clocking checks, previous owners, full MOT history, tax status, plate and colour changes, and import, export and scrapped markers.
How do I pay?
By card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through our secure checkout. You’ll see the car’s details before you pay, so you can make sure it’s the right one.
How quickly will I get my report?
Straight away. Your report opens on screen as soon as you’ve paid, and we email you a link to it. You can view it online for 30 days.
What if the report is wrong?
The finance, write-off and stolen information in every report is covered by our £30,000 Data Guarantee. If it’s wrong and it costs you money, we’ll cover your loss up to £30,000, subject to the guarantee terms.
Can I get a refund?
If we can’t deliver your report, we’ll refund you in full. Once a report has been generated we can’t refund it, including when the wrong registration was entered, so check the car’s details before you pay.
Is there a free car check?
Yes. Our free car check shows a car’s MOT history, mileage readings, tax status and more. The Full History Report adds the finance, theft, write-off and owner checks that free records don’t hold.
