What a CFMoto history check helps you spot.
A clean bike can still be on finance, recorded as stolen or carrying a hidden accident history. These are the checks that surface it before you hand over cash.
Outstanding finance
Most used CFMotos are recent, and recent bikes are usually financed. Confirm the agreement was settled.
Stolen markers
An 800MT loaded with luggage is a target. The police marker is the first result to read.
Import markers
Some machines arrive here privately from Europe. The report shows any import record against the plate.
CFMoto history check
A new badge with a short paper trail.
CFMoto has gone from an unfamiliar name to a proper dealer network in a few years, and the 450NK and the 800MT are now a regular sight on British roads. Most examples for sale are still on their first or second keeper, sold by riders trading up rather than by owners clearing out something old.
That youth changes what a history check tells you. A bike registered in the last two years has no MOT readings, so the odometer cannot be cross-checked against anything yet. What matters instead is whether the dealer finance was cleared, whether the plate carries an import marker, and how many keepers it has run through already.
Risks to check on a used CFMoto.
These are the specific things worth confirming before you put any money down.
Finance on a young bike
Almost every CFMoto in the used market is recent, and recent bikes are usually bought on hire purchase or PCP. An unsettled agreement stays with the machine, not the rider, so a lender can claim it back after you have paid a private seller.
No MOT readings yet
A motorcycle gets its first MOT at three years old. On a bike registered last year there is nothing to check the odometer against, so the mileage claim rests on the seller alone. Once the first test appears you have a fixed point to work from.
Step-up riders and early drops
The 450NK is a common first big bike for riders coming off an A2 licence, and step-up bikes get dropped. Small damage never reaches a record, but a claim large enough to be categorised does, and the report shows that category and the date it was applied.
Privately imported machines
CFMoto sells across Europe and machines occasionally reach Britain outside the dealer network. The report shows any import marker held against the registration, which is worth knowing before you assume a UK dealer will pick up parts, plates or any remaining support.

What a CFMoto history check covers.
Every Carpeep report runs the same core checks against the registration. This is what each one tells you.

Flags any outstanding finance recorded against the vehicle, so you know whether a lender still has a legal claim.
Car finance checkAccident and write-off history
Shows any recorded accident or insurance write-off marker (Cat A, B, S or N), with the category and date.
Write-off checkStolen status
Cross-references police records to flag any theft marker against the registration and VIN.
Stolen car checkMileage history
Builds a mileage timeline from MOT readings so you can spot drops or inconsistencies that point to clocking.
Mileage checkKeeper & import status
Keeper history, import and export markers, plate changes and the recorded vehicle details.
Import checkWhat sells in the used CFMoto market.
The models British buyers look for, and the checks that matter on each.
The 450NK is the model most people search for, followed by the 800MT in Touring and Sport form and the 700CL-X. Used stock stays thin because the bikes are new to the market, so tidy examples sell fast and often go to riders stepping up from a first big bike.
That leaves you buying young machines with live finance in many cases and little or no MOT data behind them. Judge on the finance result, the keeper record and the paperwork from the supplying dealer, and treat a frame number that does not match the V5C as the end of the conversation.
Before you buy
When to run a CFMoto history check.
Run the check before you commit to a viewing, and read the finance line first. Nearly every CFMoto on the used market is recent enough to have been bought on a plan, and an unsettled agreement is the one problem a private seller cannot fix on the day.
If the bike is old enough to have an MOT, compare the readings against the odometer and the story you were told about touring or commuting. If it is not, ask for the supplying dealer invoice and check the frame number against the V5C.

CFMoto Motorcycle History Check FAQs
How do I check a used CFMoto?
Enter the registration and Carpeep checks official UK records for police stolen markers, outstanding finance, insurance write-off categories, mileage from DVSA MOT readings, MOT history, keeper history and import markers. The report costs £15, which is worth spending before you travel across the country to view an 800MT.
Does a CFMoto have MOT history I can check?
Only once it is three years old. Many CFMotos on British roads are newer than that, so no test has been recorded and there are no mileage readings to compare. Until the first MOT, judge the bike on the keeper record, the finance result, the stolen check and the frame number.
Can I check finance on a CFMoto bought from a dealer?
Yes. Carpeep flags any hire purchase, PCP or conditional sale agreement recorded against the registration. A dealer part exchange usually settles the old agreement, but a private sale may not have. If finance shows, ask the seller for a settlement letter from the lender before any money moves.
How do I know if a CFMoto is an import?
The report shows import and export markers held against the registration. Most CFMotos here came through the UK dealer network, but machines do arrive privately from Europe. Knowing which one you are looking at matters for parts, for the plate and for what a UK dealer will take on.
Will the check tell me if a 450NK has been crashed?
It shows any insurance write-off marker with the category and the date recorded. That covers damage serious enough for an insurer to pay out. A bike dropped and repaired out of pocket leaves no record, so read the MOT advisories and inspect the frame, forks and bar ends yourself.
