Safety recalls
Attention
Safety recalls may affect this vehicle.
-
1 Recall R/2018/100 A non-dessicated passenger airbag inflator was used during previous recall to replace this component
Defect: In 2013 Nissan announced a Recall campaign to replace Takata SPI front passenger airbag inflators. A non-dessicated passenger airbag inflator was used for the replacement. Although there have been no known incidents associated with inflators of this type Nissan has decided to replace all inflators previously repaired with a non-dessicated inflator to a new dessicated version.
Remedy: Replace the front passenger airbag inflator with a new dessicated type.
-
2 Recall R/2017/279 Replace airbag inflators checked but not replaced under previous recall r/2015/093
Defect: The air bag inflators on affected vehicles were previously checked and deemed to be serviceable. As a precautionary measure the manufacturer has decided to replace them with new assemblies.
Remedy: On affected vehicles replace air bag assembly.
-
3 Recall R/2015/093 Passenger side airbag may fail to deploy correctly
Defect: The manufacturer has identified that a potential air leak at the passenger airbag inflators which may allow moisture to enter the airbag inflator causing the propellant in the inflator units to deteriorate. Deterioration of the propellant may lead to abnormal deployment of the passenger airbag. In an extreme situation this may result in separation of the airbag housing during deployment causing injury to occupants.
Remedy: Inspect air bag assembly and where required replace air bag inflator
-
4 Recall R/2012/036 Driver seat fault
Defect: The Drivers power seat harness may become trapped between the metal seat bracket and the seat lifter Mechanism. If the vehicle continues to be driven in this condition damage to the harness may occur and this can result in loss of operation of the driver's power seat. In extreme circumstances unexpected self-operation of the driver's power seat base may occur.
Remedy: Inspection of the driver's power seat harness for correct installation rectify if necessary. If the harness is damaged it will be replaced with new.

5 Recall R/2011/057 Possible wheel detachment
Defect: In certain rare conditions where the vehicle is used fully loaded and cornering with high lateral acceleration a crack may occur on the spoke of the aluminium wheel. If this condition is ignored and the vehicle continues to be driven the crack may propagate around other wheel spokes. This condition is expected to create a change in the vehicle handling and in extreme cases could lead to wheel detachment.
Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the wheels.

Accident history
Full History ReportInsurers record a car as a write-off (Category A, B, S or N) when it’s too damaged or too costly to repair. A repaired write-off can be sold again, but it’s worth less.

Frequently asked questions
What’s the difference between a Basic Car Report and a Full History Report?
This Basic Car Report is free and built from public DVLA and DVSA records for KA07 VKK: its MOT history, the mileage recorded at each MOT, tax and SORN status, ULEZ status and safety recalls where available. The Full History Report adds the checks those public records can’t show: outstanding finance, insurance write-offs, police stolen records, previous owners, plate changes and mileage records from beyond the MOT.
How can I check if a car has outstanding finance or has been stolen?
Neither is in the Basic Car Report, because public DVLA and DVSA records don’t include finance agreements or police stolen reports; they come from separate finance and police data. The Full History Report checks both for KA07 VKK, along with write-offs and previous owners, before you hand over any money.
What should I check before buying a used car?
Start with the public checks in this report: the MOT history for repeat failures and advisories, mileage readings that rise steadily, tax and SORN status, and any outstanding safety recalls. Then check what public records don’t show: outstanding finance, insurance write-offs, stolen records and ownership history. Finally, see the car in person and make sure the V5C logbook and VIN match the car and the seller.
What should I check before buying a used Nissan?
Nissans fail their MOT most often on suspension: 25% of their failures, against 20% for all cars. Steering accounts for more of their failures than average, 7% against 4%. In this car’s MOT history above, look for failures and advisories in those areas and ask whether they were fixed.
Are Nissans reliable used cars?
MOT results are a useful public guide. In 2025, Nissans passed 67.8% of their initial MOT tests, 4.5 points below the 72.3% average for all cars and 47th of 63 makes. Older ones pass less often, 85.3% at 3 to 5 years old against 55.3% at 11 years and over, so how this car has been looked after matters most: its MOT history above is the best evidence. Compare every Nissan model’s MOT record.
