Safety recalls
Attention
Safety recalls may affect this vehicle.
-
1 Recall R/2025/344 Emission recall - On Board Diagnostics
Defect: Vehicles may be affected by incorrect performance of the On-Board-Diagnostics related to Selective Catalytic Reduction system and/or Diesel Particle Filter. The Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) may not illuminate in the event of a malfunction and therefore does not comply with emission regulations.
Remedy: Update the Engine Control Unit software to ensure compliance to regulations.
-
2 Recall R/2023/035 The operation of the brake vacuum pump may be affected by material detaching from the timing belt caused by the ageing of the engine oil
Defect: On the affected vehicles the operation of the brake vacuum pump may be affected by material detaching from the timing belt caused by the ageing of the engine oil.
Remedy: To rectify this issue a software update will be downloaded which will improve the vacuum diagnosis (in order to warn earlier about the risk of loss or reduction of braking assistance).
-
3 Recall R/2019/352 THE CALIBRATION OF THE ENGINE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE COULD RESULT IN EMISSIONS OF NOx WHICH DO NOT COMPLY WITH REGULATORY LIMITS
Defect: Engine management software issue could result in incorrect emission levels.
Remedy: Update the engine management software.
-
4 Recall R/2017/340 Engine component may not be to specification
Defect: An engine component may not be to specification which could result in loss of engine performance. This may lead to the engine stalling and potentially causing an engine failure. In very unlikely circumstances the vehicle speed may increase without warning but will stop on its own after a few seconds.
Remedy: On affected vehicles carry out a functional diagnostic check of the engine. If necessary replace the engine.

Frequently asked questions
What’s the difference between a Basic Car Report and a Full History Report?
This Basic Car Report is free and built from public DVLA and DVSA records for KS18 KCY: its MOT history, the mileage recorded at each MOT, tax and SORN status, ULEZ status and safety recalls where available. The Full History Report adds the checks those public records can’t show: outstanding finance, insurance write-offs, police stolen records, previous owners, plate changes and mileage records from beyond the MOT.
How can I check if a car has outstanding finance or has been stolen?
Neither is in the Basic Car Report, because public DVLA and DVSA records don’t include finance agreements or police stolen reports; they come from separate finance and police data. The Full History Report checks both for KS18 KCY, along with write-offs and previous owners, before you hand over any money.
What should I check before buying a used car?
Start with the public checks in this report: the MOT history for repeat failures and advisories, mileage readings that rise steadily, tax and SORN status, and any outstanding safety recalls. Then check what public records don’t show: outstanding finance, insurance write-offs, stolen records and ownership history. Finally, see the car in person and make sure the V5C logbook and VIN match the car and the seller.
What should I check before buying a used Peugeot?
Peugeots fail their MOT most often on lamps, reflectors and electrical equipment: 30% of their failures, against 25% for all cars. Body, chassis and structure accounts for more of their failures than average, 10% against 6%. In this car’s MOT history above, look for failures and advisories in those areas and ask whether they were fixed.
Are Peugeots reliable used cars?
MOT results are a useful public guide. In 2025, Peugeots passed 66.8% of their initial MOT tests, 5.5 points below the 72.3% average for all cars and 54th of 63 makes. Older ones pass less often, 82.7% at 3 to 5 years old against 56% at 11 years and over, so how this car has been looked after matters most: its MOT history above is the best evidence. Compare every Peugeot model’s MOT record.
