Safety recalls
Attention
Safety recalls may affect this vehicle.
-
1 Recall R/2025/387 Stop-drive TAKATA PSAN
Defect: Urgent Safety Warning - Do Not Drive Your Vehicle Affected vehicles were originally allocated to or used for an extended period of time in a region with a climate zone considered to as HIGH RISK. Certain front airbags contain an ageing inflator propellant that may explode when deployed due to long-term exposure to heat and humidity. If the airbag inflator explodes metal fragments may be ejected causing life-threatening or fatal injuries to anyone in the vehicle.
Remedy: Affected airbags will be be replaced. You can contact Audi's dedicated Takata Stop Drive helpline at 0113 526 9646 (MONDAY to FRIDAY 9:00AM to 5:00PM.
-
2 Recall R/2024/312 Replacing TAKATA driver airbag
Defect: On imported Audi vehicles previously used in a warm climate zone and fitted with TAKATA driver airbag manufactured within a specific period it is possible that the gas generator housing may cause small metal parts to become dislodged from the housing and potentially injure the driver or a passenger.
Remedy: As a precautionary safety measure it is necessary to replace the gas generator in the airbag unit on the driver side of the vehicle.
-
3 Recall R/2024/158 Replacing Takata passenger airbag
Defect: On affected vehicles the passenger airbag may in extremely rare cases be overloaded and even burst when the passenger airbag is triggered. If this were to happen small metal parts could become dislodged from the housing and potentially cause life-threatening injury to a vehicle occupant.
Remedy: For safety reasons it is necessary to check the passenger airbag and if required to replace the airbag module.
-
4 Recall R/2023/053 If a front airbag is deployed it is possible that the gas generator housing in which the propellant is generated may burst on vehicles manufactured within a limited period
Remedy: As a precautionary safety measure it is necessary to replace the airbag unit on the passenger side.

Frequently asked questions
What’s the difference between a Basic Car Report and a Full History Report?
This Basic Car Report is free and built from public DVLA and DVSA records for LT58 ESO: its MOT history, the mileage recorded at each MOT, tax and SORN status, ULEZ status and safety recalls where available. The Full History Report adds the checks those public records can’t show: outstanding finance, insurance write-offs, police stolen records, previous owners, plate changes and mileage records from beyond the MOT.
How can I check if a car has outstanding finance or has been stolen?
Neither is in the Basic Car Report, because public DVLA and DVSA records don’t include finance agreements or police stolen reports; they come from separate finance and police data. The Full History Report checks both for LT58 ESO, along with write-offs and previous owners, before you hand over any money.
What should I check before buying a used car?
Start with the public checks in this report: the MOT history for repeat failures and advisories, mileage readings that rise steadily, tax and SORN status, and any outstanding safety recalls. Then check what public records don’t show: outstanding finance, insurance write-offs, stolen records and ownership history. Finally, see the car in person and make sure the V5C logbook and VIN match the car and the seller.
What should I check before buying a used Audi?
Audis fail their MOT most often on suspension: 23% of their failures, against 20% for all cars. Tyres account for more of their failures than average, 20% against 13%. In this car’s MOT history above, look for failures and advisories in those areas and ask whether they were fixed.
Are Audis reliable used cars?
MOT results are a useful public guide. In 2025, Audis passed 78.5% of their initial MOT tests, 6.2 points above the 72.3% average for all cars and 19th of 63 makes. Older ones pass less often, 89.3% at 3 to 5 years old against 68.4% at 11 years and over, so how this car has been looked after matters most: its MOT history above is the best evidence. Compare every Audi model’s MOT record.
