What sells, and what to look at on each generation.
Warrior and Barbarian double cabs are the ones most people search for, usually with leather, a canopy or roller cover and a tow bar already fitted. Series 4 trucks with the 2.5 DI-D are cheap now and often tired. Series 5 and 6 brought the 2.4 DI-D and, on the higher trims, Super Select four-wheel drive.

Does it matter that Mitsubishi no longer sells new cars in the UK?
For a history check, no. DVLA and DVSA records carry on regardless of what the manufacturer does, so finance, write-off, stolen and mileage data are unaffected. It does matter for your buying decision, since a shrinking used pool and dealer network changes how you plan servicing, parts and resale.
How far back does the MOT history go?
The report shows the DVSA test record held for the vehicle, which for most L200s covers many years of tests, results, mileage readings, failure items and advisories. A Series 4 truck can have a long list. Read it from oldest to newest and watch how the corrosion and suspension notes change over time.
The seller says the finance was settled. Is that enough?
No. Ask for the settlement letter from the lender and check the report yourself. Carpeep asks the finance houses what is still registered against the vehicle. If something is showing and the seller insists it is paid, the lender is the only party who can confirm that, not the seller.
