The Matiz and Spark were budget city cars, the Aveo a small hatchback, the Cruze a Focus sized saloon and hatch, and the Captiva a seven seat family SUV. They were sold on price when new, and they are sold on price now.
A withdrawn brand changes the maths on a used car. There is no dealer network to fall back on, resale values are weak, and a repair bill can quickly exceed what the car is worth. That matters for a history check because it makes write-off and scrapped markers far more likely than on an equivalent Ford or Vauxhall, and it makes cheap repairs more common.

The Spark and Matiz survive as very cheap first cars and town runabouts. At these prices the decision is simple. Check for a write-off marker and check the mileage readings run in a straight line, then judge the car on its MOT advisory history rather than its appearance.
The Cruze and Captiva are the larger buys. The Captiva in particular attracted families who wanted seven seats cheaply, and it can carry both an old finance agreement and a long list of expensive advisories. Read the MOT record year by year before you agree to anything on either model.

Can I still get parts for a Chevrolet in the UK?
Generally yes, through independent specialists and the wider General Motors and Daewoo parts network, since several models share engineering with cars sold under other badges. Availability is patchier than for a mainstream brand and some trim and body parts are hard to find. That is a reason to buy a car with a clean MOT record rather than a project.
Does the brand leaving Europe affect the value?
It does. No dealer network and a shrinking buyer pool keep prices low, which is good news when buying and bad news when selling. It also makes damaged cars more likely to be written off, because the repair cost climbs above the value sooner. Check for write-off markers before you treat a low price as a bargain.
Is a Cat N Chevrolet worth buying?
It can be, at the right price and with a proper inspection, since Cat N means the damage was not structural. But you should know before you view, not after. How do I check a Matiz for clocking?
